Happy Half-Birthday...or NOT!

Moriah's school celebrated her "half-birthday" yesterday since she has a summer birthday. It may have started okay...but it did not end that way (more about that at the end of the post). We'll start with the good stuff...

She rounded up some Ding-Dongs to bring to her class for her treat.
After school she had Basketball practice. She has really been enjoying it and improving tons every week.
Then we decided to go sledding as a family. Here are some pics:

Moriah waiting her turn...
Jake and Rach after a successful run:
Daddy and his boy:
(all Jake would say is: "Go" "More" and "Again")

Here's a video of the girls going down together:

And here's one of Moriah on a little jump.
We all had about 30 min of fun off this one:

Here's a great one of how Moriah passed the time waiting for her turn:

Then we found a big jump (another 30min of fun)!

And a video of Moriah going off it:

And of course, Moriah wanted to do it ONE MORE TIME from the TOP of the hill.

Here's the infamous picture...

Which then lead to this picture:(I circled the important part in case you couldn't see the collar bone break!)

Which lead to this picture:

Poor Moriah.

Officially, the clavicle is snapped in the middle and 50% angulated (so it looks like a tee-pee instead of a line). Luckily they are not separated much so she shouldn't need surgery...but no more Basketball this year! :(

The Month of January...

...has flown by!
Here are some of the things we have been doing!
THE DRAPER TEMPLE
The kids, Aunt Rachel, Mark and I all went through the Draper Temple. It was neat to be there with our little family.
JUGGLING
Mark juggled at the cub scout pack meeting. Later he juggled for Moriah and her friends at Activity Days(since they missed the show).
SOCCER
Last week Kayley's team won 4-0, Kayley scored every one of those winning goals!
BASKETBALL
Moriah has enjoyed being on this winning team! They have won every game they have played. Two weeks ago they won 52-10!

Ooooh Baby!

Tammy, Mark, Moriah, Kayley and Jacob are excited to announce

a new arrival is on its way!

That's right. Tammy is expecting.

She is almost 3 months along with a due date of July 22nd.

Below is Mark having fun with the Ultrasound machine:

Baby from the side with arm and leg visible:

Short Clip of the baby moving:

Moriah thinks the movie makes the baby look like a worm. Kayley thought it was a duck when she first saw it. Personally, I think the baby is doing some sort of a dance move. Ha Ha Ha.

P.S. The early Heart Rate was about 160 which is very much on the girl-side if you believe in such things...

Aunt Rachel

My WONDERFUL SISTER just moved in. We have been having LOTS of FUN. The kids have enjoyed having their AUNT around!

Aunt Rachel all moved in, the girls enjoyed helping her unpack and Jacob thought it was fun to get in and out of her suitcase. Jacob playing his whistle during our FHE game.

Mark and Rachel playing a duet during the game.

Moriah and Aunt Rachel adventuring in the snow.

Dancing, dancing, dancing!

Moriah & Kayley

(So I didn't realize that my last post had posted, it did something funky and I walked away from the computer, quite disappointed that the time I spent, had not worked. So surprise to me when I saw my post. Since I wasn't quite done I will catch up now!) The girls had a busy week! Tuesday Moriah had Activity Days, Wednesday Kayley started indoor soccer (we are all excited for soccer again!), Thursday Moriah and Kayley started Dance (Moriah is doing hip-hop & jazz, Kayley is doing hip-hop, jazz and ballet, Kayley's class, Moriah's class, 2 hours later it's time to go. Luckily Mark came over after work and stayed with the girls so I could take Jacob home and start dinner), Saturday, another soccer practice and game for Kayley and then Moriah started Basketball. She had her first game, she has never played, or had a practice (due to not having a coach) we get to the game she gets her jersey and is told to go in and she says, "What do I do?" Anyway she did great and was way excited to shoot and make a basket!!! Way to go Moriah!
