Going CRAZY!!

So Tammy and I have been going nuts for the last few weeks trying to figure out where I should work next year. We have done lists, pros and cons, and even a spread sheet comparing different weighted characteristics of the different jobs and communities. I haven't tried coin flipping or rock-paper-scissors yet but I am getting close.
We just haven't been able to narrow it down sufficiently yet to be able to make a final decision (and then of course seek official confirmation).
Any suggestions out there???

I just came across this photo. I remember taking it thinking I would put it on our blog, but I wasn't really into blogging at the time. Mark had to turn the antenna a couple of time to get it to really be of value (I guess it has to face the right direction) and by the way, we get GREAT reception!

I'm all made of engines?

So I was tucking the girls into bed and asked what song they wanted me to sing. Kayley said, "Sing the engine song!"

So I racked my brain thinking of any train songs I knew...

There was: 'I've been working on the railroad'

and...

well I guess that was it.

So I made up a few songs like "I think I can...I think I can...choo choo!"

Kayley finally said, "No dad...the one where you bend your body funny and say I'm all made of engines!

"Oh...you mean: I'm all made of HINGES!" (a favorite bedtime/primary song of the girls when they were younger).

It was funny to me that all these years when I had "hinges in front" and "hinges in back", Kayley thought that it was ENGINES that I needed "or else I would CRACK!"

Big Wheel Races

Last night we went to a neighborhood potluck dinner/"Big Wheel Races".

I didn't bring my camera, but I found this on Christy's blog (thanks Christy!). All the kids (including Mark) raced on our only (one peddled) tricycle (no bicycles were allowed). Anyway it was a lot of fun. Moriah helped Jacob race (pictured above). Then Kayley raced with her age group and then Moriah. Mark joined the other guys for his race and that is where I wished I had my camera. Just imagine Mark on that little trike that Jacob is on. It was great!

September Happenings

Visitors
My Aunt Julie (AKA "Grandma" that's what Kayley always calls her when she visits) and my Sister Rachel came out from California to visit us! (We miss you guys.) We had tonz of fun hanging out with them all week! We also got to hang out with my cousins that are out here going to BYU, go cougars!

Soccer, Soccer, Soccer!

We had games, practices and pictures all this week. (What will we do when soccer is over, it's ALL we do!) Moriah even had a game in the RAIN!

Grandma & Grandpa

Mark's parents were in town, we got to visit with them for a couple of hours at Chuck E Cheeses while we celebrated a few birthdays!

THANKS MOM & DAD!!! We love seeing you guys!

Our Fence
We got a fence! Unfortunately that meant WORK for Mark. The guys putting in the fence broke our sprinklers. Mark had to tear up lots of lawn to fix it. It was quite a bummer since the guy that sold us the fence said they would be hand digging this very spot and DIDN'T. Mark was a good sport and he was quick to get things fixed. He said it reminded him of when he was young and would helped his Dad fix their sprinklers! : )

ART WORK!

Kayley spent the afternoon making me lots of beautiful pictures with stuff she found in the craft box. She is so thoughtful!

The Fair!

Moriah got to go to the Utah State Fair with all the 4th graders at her school. She took some money and came back with a necklace for Kayley (thanks Moriah) and this little singing bird, cage included! : ) She had a lot of FUN!
