Sick In Love

This is a "Medical" Love Song I wrote for fun.

I have only been playing the guitar for a year...

so don't judge too harshly!

As requested,

the words (and explanations) of the song:

First Verse:

I used to be the picture of health,

Never sick. I took care of myself.

But now there's clearly something wrong with me

'Cause when I see you my vision gets blurry

Chorus:

And I start to hurt like appendicitis

And itch from neurodermatitis (an itchy rash that comes from stress)

The Hypertension (elevated Blood Pressure) you create

Makes my heart cells fibrillate (beat fast and irregularly)

And even though the tests all show

That there's nothing wrong with me

It's clear to see, that I'm Sick in Love...I'm Sick in love.

2nd Verse:

My dysphagia (difficulty swallowing) acts up when you walk by

I'm short of breath, I feel like I could die

And I always get a little ADD (aka ADHD)

Whenever you get really close to me

(Chorus)

3rd Verse:

The fever and chills, the chest pain that I feel

My doctor says, that none of it is real

The palpitations (strong heart thumping) and weakness in my knees

I guess that it's just my anxiety!

Last Chorus

But you make me hurt like appendicitis

And itch from neurodermatitis

The Hypertension you create

Makes my heart cells fibrillate

And even though the tests all show

That there's nothing wrong with me

I hope you see, that I'm Sick in Love...I'm Sick in love...

Yes I'm Sick in Love

  1. Well Mark, I appreciated that song. Keep the medical songs coming. If you're taking requests, I'd like one about Heparin induced thrombocytopenia and the sensitivity and specificity of the HIT solid phase immunoassay. (cause i'm giving a presentation on it tomorrow)
