Hair Cuts

ZACHARY'S 2nd CUT

Zac has so much hair!!! None of our other kids had hair cuts before a year old and Zac is on hair cut #2. (Of course we waited forever to cut the girls hair and Jacob lost ALL of his hair around 6 months.) This was Zac's FIRST cut with the electric clippers and even though you can't really tell in the pictures the cut made a BIG difference, especially on the top!

JACOB'S TURN
After Zac's cut Jacob was next. As Mark started I asked him to go even shorter (a nice short cut for the summer means no worries about how Jake's hair looks, I LOVE IT).

Checking himself out in the mirror!

FUN at the Scandinavian Heritage Festival

Here are pictures of some of the fun stuff we did at the festival.

After waiting in line to have his face painted like "spider man" Jacob decided (as the headband was placed on his head) he didn't really want his face painted after all, so I asked if he wanted his arm painted instead.
All Wiped out and all done for the day!
We had lots of fun at our first Scandinavian Festival!!!

May-Day Celebration

End of the school year program!
For about 60yrs here in Ephraim they have celebrated May-Day with the elementary kids singing and dancing. Here are some videos and pictures of the girls:

Here Kayley and her 1st grade friends show us their moves (LOVE Kayley's hips at the beginning...way to move it girl!).

As a 5th grader, Moriah gets to culminate the celebration with the traditional Maypole dance! They say it symbolizes the intertwining of the community.

Jacob's 3rd Birthday!

OUR SWEET, BEAUTIFUL BOY!
Jacob's birthday was so much FUN this year! He was so excited for this day to come!!! He would talk about his upcoming birthday, telling us about blowing out his candles & opening up his presents and how he would say "oh, thank you"!
On his actual birthday we must have sang, happy birthday to him at least 3 times, allowing him to blow candle's out each time. He was so excited when we brought out his presents (he might have been content with just the singing & candle blowing this year).
It was such a fun day celebrating him! He had us laughing and smiling all day.
(The first set of candle's on his chocolate chip pancakes.)
(Cake #2)
Jacob wanted a yellow car cake this year. (He will always say, when he sees anything yellow, "there is my favorite color yellow".) The girls helped with this cake, they had some pretty good ideas for it. (They really do enjoy cake decorating, just like their Mama.)
Opening presents, so exciting!

Jacob has been wanting this car FOREVER! He would see one on TV or around the neighborhood, and he would tell us each time that he wanted that car. Now when he sees a car like his, he reminds us that he has one!
Jacob at his Grandparents house, party with his cousins and cake #1.
Getting packages in the mail is SOOO very exciting!!!
WE LOVE YOU JACOB!!!

Mother's Day

The girls came home from school the Thursday before Mother's Day with treasures for me. Kayley had a seed she had planted at school, all ready to grow at home. Moriah gave me some beautiful flowers (she must have found during recess) and she handed me a necklace. How sweet is this, she used the "money" she earned in class to buy something for me (I just thought that was so sweet, and selfless, what a thoughtful girl). On Sunday Jacob brought something adorable home from nursery, his "plant" was already edible, (chocolate cake). Zac even had something special for me, he say "Mama" for the first time (a couple of times throughout the day). The funny thing is he hasn't said it since and we are going on a week now. And NO, I didn't just imagine that he said it, the kids and Daddy heard him too.

MY TREASURES!!!

I LOVE YOU Moriah, Kayley, Jacob & Zachary, thanks for being my sweet little angels! And thanks to my other sweet angels, my Mother and Mother-in-law, thanks for EVERYTHING you do and have done for ME, I LOVE YOU BOTH!!!
