More Rural Fun

The Fairview Museum of History and Art
I took the kids while Mark was hard at work!
The next day we all went to check out Richfield and then stopped in Salina.
(All potential places where Mark could work).
We went to the park and then to Mom's cafe for some world famous pie.

We went up skyline drive, it was such a beautiful drive. We stopped at Gooseberry reservoir to fish. Too bad Jacob just wanted to go into the water for a swim.

Having fun in Mt. Pleasant

I am working in Mt Pleasant for 6 wks so the whole family comes down during the week and stays in a rental home here. It is an older house but it has new carpet and a great yard. Tammy and the girls have found fun stuff to do while I am at work. Jacob just needs a ball or some dirt and he is as happy as a lark.
The slide show shows some of the fun things we have done:
Icecream at the local creamery
Fishing (the pond is 5 mins from the house)
Playing in the yard
A drive-in movie: we watched Wall-E on it and had a blast. Drive-ins are a dying breed...too bad.
Me hooking up the antannae so we can have a few cartoons in the morning.
The 24th of July Parade.

We are halfway done and then we are back in Provo. That will be nice to be home but we are having fun and enjoying it down here!

We are pretty wiped out and so pics will have to wait!
Just an overview now:

Horseback Riding
A Cave Tour
ATV's
Fireworks
and a lot of family card games!

We're finally back!!!

Prior to colapsing on our bed for the night (that's right our own bed...finally), I thought I would quickly blog and let everyone know we made it home! After all was said and done (unless you count Mark's Moab trip where he slept here one night during all this!) we were gone for 17 days and nights! Vacation is nice of course but nothing beats your own matress, your own pillow, and not having to worry about who you might wake up if the baby cries a bit as he falls asleep!
Ahhhh. Home sweet home.
